Compression Speed
for
Quality & File Size
What it does
The more time you allow the compression to run, the better the quality. This is because the compression algorithm has more time to work and double check its own work.
When you need it
Choose “Faster” if you’re in a rush or compressing many videos. Move closer to “Better” if video quality is more important.
- If you’re just compressing a video to quickly share it via email or chat, “Faster” is often good enough.
- If you’re compressing a video for a more important use, like uploading to social media or long-termarchiving, you may want to move towards “Better” and spend the extra time.
